Hopefully we are not getting confused on the idea of math Vs reality when it comes to physics. I showed an example of where I, mathmatically, increased the speed by double to see if the frequency would change. It can be done mathmatically, but it is not true. The reason why it is not true is because of the inverse relationship frequency and wavelength have. If the frequency is increased, the wavelength must decrease by the same amount.
Here is an example.
Wavelength = 14m
frequency = 10 hz
Speed = 140m/s
If I double wavelength, the frequency will be cut in half, which gives us the same speed of the wave.
Wavelength = 28 m
frequency = 5 hz
Speed = 140 m/s
